They danced with the stars that night, not caring if their dresses were ruined. Their friends, would-be dates had they bought the overpriced tickets, stood on the shore, dress shoes in hand and black slacks rolled up. Neither understood them, watching with some discomfort and gazing around as if guilty of trespassing. But the ocean didn't persecute trespassers, only welcomed them in its flowing waves.
