Daily Writing Blurb
"Remember me to one who lives there," warbled the girl as her fingers danced over the ivory keys. "She once was a true love of mine. Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme."
"Piper," her aunt called, coming down the stairs.
A sour note echoed through the house as Piper scrambled to shut the piano lid before her aunt could see her playing.
Her aunt bustled in, hardly looking at her as she finished putting in an earring. She looked over the couch and under some of the tables, before finally looking at the girl on the piano stool. "
What are you looking for, Aunt Emmeline?" Her aunt sighed, took hold of the girl's arm, and dragged her into the living room.
"No music, Piper," her aunt scolded and then straightened her blouse. "You stay out of the music room while I'm at work."
